Download Oukitel K8 Stock ROM

Flashing of factory firmware becomes necessary when you want to completely unroot your phone and regain warranty, trash out untraceable bugs or unbrick your phone.
You'll need a PC and SP Flashtool to perform the operation.
The process is seemingly an easy one, especially if your PC is setup already with Mediatek and VCOM drivers.

For a recap, Oukitel K8 has the following specifications:

How to root Oukitel K8

The Oukitel K8 launched in 2018 with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
The midranger sports a Mediatek MT6750T (an SoC that has been utilized on so many devices by Oukitel including Oukitel K8000, K6000 Plus just to name a few).
Other key specs include:

  • 6.0" 2.5D AUO LCD display with 18:9 FHD+ (1080p x 2160p)
  • 5000mAh non-removable battery
  • 4+64GB Memory configuration
  • Android 8.0 Oreo
  • MT6750T SoC
  • Dual 13+5MP rear cameras
  • 5MP front camera
  • Notification LED (RGB)
  • Metallic frame

IMPORTANT: Backup your internal storage else where as this procedure is going to wipe your entire phone storage.

To root your device, you'll need
  1. A PC with Mediatek driver and VCOM driver properly installed.
  2. An external storage (SD Card or USB flash)

Download and save the Magisk zip into your external storage,
Download the attached TWRP zip file,
Extract it into any folder,
Flash using SP Flashtool.
Install the latest stable Magisk via TWRP

NOTE: After flashing TWRP, you must root with Magisk, else you'll end up with boot loop.

You can use your phone without decryption but TWRP won’t be able to access your internal storage.
Hence, you must decrypt your device before TWRP can gain access to your storage.

[ROM] [6.0.1] [MT6592] RR-5.7.0 For Innjoo Fire Plus 3G

As a birthday gift from me, here is RR-MarshMallow-5.7.0_r46 for InnJoo Fire Plus 3G (can also be ported to other MT6592 KitKat devices with kernel 3.4.67). This version has come with a mighty stability and better UI; correcting the shortcomings of the previous versions like the blank app name while sharing for example a link.
The performance is better and supports more extended features (why not explore them yourself?).

The ROM is still being uploaded and shall be available for download soon. As usual, all supported features work flawlessly - USSD, FM, Hotspot, Bluetooth, WiFi, Multi window tasking, No network drops, etc. However, the smartwake is yet to be integrated and shall also be available soon.

[ROM][MT6592][6.0.1] AICP 11 for InnJoo Fire Plus 3G

With the advancing success stories recorded in MTK development, more up-to-date, stable and feature-pack ROMs are still being rolled out regularly.
Much thanks to the developers who spend sleepless nights to ensure that MTK device users enjoy latest ROMs.

AICP is an aftermaket ROM based on CM13 Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Personally, I'm a huge fan of AICP and as such love the ROM. The ROM is stable and fully bugless and can be easily ported to any KitKat device running MT6592, kernel 3.4.67

An impressive feature of the latest 6.0.1 ports is the smartwake feature. Hence. you can easily double-tap your device to wake up when in sleep mode (as obtainable in the stock ROM).

I currently use different device, hence the credit for porting goes to a friend ALi Elshebly. This is just one of the many ROMs he has ported and is here for all to enjoy.

[Recovery] TWRP v3 for InnJoo Fire Plus 3G

The developers of the TWRP (Team Win Recovery Project) has released the latest version of the custom recovery. The recovery is preferred by most owing to its vast capabilities and options among others.
One  of the reasons i prefer it is the ability to compress ROM backups to up to 50% the original size and conserve space.
The recovery.img posted here is for InnJoo fire plus 3G. You can google for your device's version.

  • Version 3.0.0 was ported to InnJoo FP by Tarek Sadek
  • Version 3.0.2 was ported by Ali Elshebly

HOW TO FLASH
The recovery may be flashed using Mobile Uncle, Rashr or any other suitable tool for flashing recoveries.
